Code: AAT/19/192 Literacy Tree Workshops Y3 & Y4 Staff and Literacy Leads

The Literacy Tree is a thematic, book-based approach to primary English. Their KS1&2 Literacy Curriculum provide schools with a meticulously planned, cohesive approach to the teaching of reading and writing.

Using The Literacy Curriculum has transformed how English is taught in over half of Astrea primary schools. Children’s writing has become so much more creative, purposeful and independent, dramatically increasing both lesson engagement and KS1&2 outcomes.

These ongoing CPD events will review the core aims and objectives of The Literacy Curriculum, as well as giving colleagues the opportunity to plan forthcoming schemes with our in-house Literacy Tree expert, Hannah Baker. Delegates will also go on learning walks around Highgate Primary Academy, recently awarded ‘outstanding in literacy’ status by Challenge Partners. on learning walks around Highgate Primary Academy, awarded ‘outstanding in literacy’ status by Challenge Partners.
